ALTOONA, Pa. - The Saint Francis women's tennis team continued its strong play in Presidents' Athletic Conference action, earning a 7-0 victory over Waynesburg to improve to 7-1 in conference play. Thursday was the fourth match in three days for the Red Wolves.
Morgan Tuffs led the way with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over Julia Umshares, marking the second consecutive night Tuffs won her singles match by that score.
Saint Francis swept all six singles matches, with Helena Lynn defeating Celeste Matsaudza, 6-1, 6-1, and Reagen Mangan earning a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Julia Luzar. Julia Ritchey added a 6-1, 6-0 win over Gabby Peiritsh, while Annaka Bruder defeated Karly Starcher, 6-3, 6-1. Nadia Zia-Ahmadi rounded out the singles lineup with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Mackenzie Gower.
The Red Wolves close out the regular season Oct. 17 at home against Franciscan University.
