Saint Francis fell 10-14 in a 9 a.m. matchup against Bucknell, as the Bison pulled ahead after halftime.
TURNING POINTS
Saint Francis stayed competitive early, holding slim advantages through the opening half before Bucknell used a decisive third-quarter run to create separation. After entering halftime locked at 4-4, Bucknell outscored the Red Flash 5-0 in the third period, shifting momentum and forcing Saint Francis to play from behind the rest of the way. Despite continued offensive pressure and late goals in the fourth, the early second-half surge proved to be the difference.
POOL HIGHLIGHTS
Caylah Olay led the Red Flash attack with four goals on seven shots, consistently creating opportunities and drawing multiple ejections.
Sofia Maioriello added a strong all-around performance with two goals, three assists, two steals, and a field block, while
Megan Marlin chipped in a goal, an assist, and a team-high three steals. In goal,
Victoria Tamarit made seven saves to keep Saint Francis within reach during key stretches.
FLASH NUGGETS
Saint Francis totaled 10 goals from six different scorers, led by
Caylah Olay's four-goal effort.
Sofia Maioriello paced the offense with three assists, while
