TURNING POINT OF THE GAME

In the second quarter, the Red Flash found success attacking the paint and earning opportunities of its own at the free-throw line. Despite the push, LIU maintained control heading into halftime with a double-digit lead.
Saint Francis came out of the break with energy. Hawthorne knocked down a three-pointer to spark the offense, and Walker capitalized at the free-throw line to chip away at the deficit. Makyiah Ward put on some defensive pressure forcing turnovers. Saint Francis made a late push in the fourth quarter to bring the deficit to single digits, but that surge was not enough to keep the Red Flash in reaching distance.
