WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Saint Francis softball dropped its final game of the Founders Classic, 10-2, against Ohio University on Sunday afternoon at Cyrill Softball Stadium in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The critical moment came in the bottom of the third inning when the Bobcats quickly erased the Red Flash lead with one swing of the bat, driving in three runs on a double into the right-field gap. From that point on, Ohio held a 3-2 lead until the end of the game.
FLASH MOMENTSÂ
For the second straight game, the Red Flash jumped out to an early lead. In the top of the first inning, sophomore Sofia Zielinski put Saint Francis on the board with her third RBI of the week after reaching first on a fielder's choice. The early inning wasn't over, however, as freshman Olivia Hood drove in her first RBI of the season with a single up the middle, extending Saint Francis's lead to 2-0.
