Saint Francis Women's Golf Back On The Course For Spring Season At Lady Bison Invitational

OPENING TEE
Saint Francis women's golf is set to open its spring season in Gainesville, Fla., at the Lady Bison Invitational. The Red Flash will compete a total of 36 holes, splitting between 18 each day at Hawkstone Country Club. Along with the Red Flash, the Citadel, Maryland Eastern Shore, Jackson State, Bethune-Cookman, Albany, Chicago State, Southern, North Carolina Central, Youngstown State, Monmouth, Queens of Charlotte, and host Howard, will all be making their way to the tee box. Six golfers will be taking the course including Robbin Zetrouer, McKenzie Gustas, Camille Gagnon, Meghan Zambruno, and Abigail McCorkell.

LAST TIME AT THIS EVENT 
The last time Saint Francis made an appearance at this event was in 2025 during the spring season. Bryn Sorge paced the Red Flash with a 28th place finish. Sorge had her best round in the final round thanks to 10 pars and birdies on holes 10 and 15 to finish with a round of 77. For the tournament, Sorge had 25 pars and three birdies. Anna Crumrine (39th place, 231), McKenzie Gustas (41st place, 253), Meghan Zambruno (45th place, 258), and Abigail McCorkell (53rd place, 272) rounded out the Red Flash team competitors. The team finished in seventh place overall.

NEXT TIME ON THE GREEN 
The Red Flash will be on the green again March 23-24 in Batavia, Ohio, for The Julie Invitational. Golfers will complete 18 holes each day, finishing with 36 after the two days at Elks Run Golf Club.

Saint Francis added Robbin Zetrouer to the 2025-2026 roster.  

COACH CASCINO BACK ON DUTY 
Cascino is in the fifth season of his third stint with the Red Flash and 13th overall. He was the women's golf head coach from 2005-12, for the 2017 season, and 2020-current. Saint Francis was successful in his first go-around with the women's golf program, leading the Red Flash to two consecutive Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships (2006 & 2007). In addition, he helped Saint Francis finish in the Top 3 of the conference postseasons in his first four seasons in Loretto. His son Lukas has joined the men's golf team for the 2023-24 season.
