WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Water polo completed Saturday action at DeNunzio Pool with matchups against Michigan and host Princeton, falling 18-6 and 18-10, respectively.
TURNING POINTS
Vs. Michigan:
Saint Francis stayed within reach early, trailing just 3-2 after the opening quarter. Michigan created separation in the second period, extending its lead into halftime and maintaining control through the second half to secure the win.
Vs. Princeton:
The Red Flash remained competitive in the opening quarter before Princeton used the second period to build a strong advantage. Despite a more productive offensive second half from Saint Francis, the Tigers held their lead to close out the contest.
POOL HIGHLIGHTS
Vs. Michigan:
Caylah Olay led the offense with three goals on seven shots, adding three blocks and a steal.
Victoria Tamarit contributed on both ends with a goal and 13 saves in cage.
Megan Marlin added a goal, three assists, and a block. Defensively, the Red Flash combined for multiple blocks and steals to slow Michigan's attack.
Vs. Princeton:
The Red Flash improved offensively in the second matchup. Olay paced Saint Francis with seven goals on 10 shots, while
Laura Knight added two goals on two attempts. Marlin contributed a goal, four steals, and two blocks, and
Sarah Hartwell facilitated the offense with four assists. Tamarit recorded seven saves in goal, and the Red Flash saw additional contributions across the lineup.
