Track & Field Claimed 44 Top 10 Finishes

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> The Saint Francis track & field teams competed in the Jim Taylor Duals.
>> Saint Francis claimed 44 top 10 finishes.

FLASH WOMEN NUGGETS
The women's team accumulated 15 top 10 finishes after the weekend.

Sophomore Rylee Nicklas had a solid performance in throws. She took second place after a 12.42 throw in shot put. Nicklas finished fifth in the hammer throw with 41.09. She also took fifth in discus throw with a launch of 35.46. 

Ryan Wilson placed second in the women's 10,000m with a time of 42:34.18. 

Freshman Abigail Sheehan came in fourth in the 3000m steeplechase after a 12:56.23 performance. 

Two Red Flash finished top 10 in long jump. Taylor Foster took fifth place with a jump of 5.34 and Gianna Anderson placed ninth after a 4.71 jump. 

Sophomore Olivia Renk took third in the 100m after a time of 12.35. 

Sarah Colman finished first in the 800m with a time of 2:20.70. 

Three athletes placed back-to-back in pole vault. Freshman Karsyn Ford took second with a clearance of 3.25. Following behind was Claire Henry in third (3.10) and Aubrie Wells placed fourth (2.95). 

Adraya Baxter finished in sixth place after a time of 1:08.51. 

Delaney Hall took sixth in the triple jump after making 9.92. 

The 4x400 relay team finished off the day with fourth place. This team had a time of 4:21.17 that consisted of Renk, Colman, Jordan Dean, and Lauren Lomago

FLASH MEN NUGGETS
The men's team registered 29 top 10 performances this weekend.

Three Red Flash placed top 10 in the hammer throw: Owen Degnan, Vincent Franco, and Joseph Sevison. Degnan finished in second place with 53.23, Franco with 52.62 to take fourth, and Sevison performed a throw of 51.70 to gain fifth place. 

Clark Gulycz took first place after a 17.21 performance in shot put. Sevison, Wyatt Jumper, and Brayden Ross all earned top 10 as well. Sevison (sixth place) threw 14.51, Jumper (eighth place) threw 13.84, and Ross (10th place) threw 13.11. 

Tyler Craft, Jayden Foster, Braydon Beach, Garrett Damewood, and Nehemyah Williams all finished top 10 in long jump. Craft took second with a 6.96 leap, Foster finished in fourth (6.80), Beach with fifth place (6.69), Damewood right behind him in sixth (6.68), and Williams took ninth (6.41). 

Dylan Andrews competed in pole vault and placed second but first collegiately. He cleared 4.45. 

Senior Ethan Stroup took eighth in javelin with a throw of 50.51. 

Saint Francis's 4x100 relay team came in third place with a 43.39 time. The team consisted of Darius Harrell, Eaghan Kieff, Thaide Mickel, and Samuel List. 

Ayden Martinage took second place in high jump with 1.88. 

Collin Dreese placed second in the 1500m with a time of 4:03.18. 

Tyler Persing finished in fifth place with a time of 50.61 in the 400m. 

Sevison, Cam Wagner, and Ross all placed high in discus throw. Sevison took first place after a throw of 47.44. Wagner threw 45.21 to take third place. Freshman Ross rounded off the day with seventh place after a throw of 42.07.

Dreese took first place in the 800m with a time of 1:57.50. Michelangelo Piccirillo did not finish too far behind him. He came in eighth place with a time of 2:01.65.

Freshman Carson Uber had a time of 1:00.33 in the 400m hurdles to take ninth place.

Beach and Damewood both placed high in triple jump. Beach took third with 13.26 and Damewood took eighth with 12.57. 

Tytan Hinkson competed in the 200m with a time of 22.70 to take eighth. 

Both 4x400 relay teams took top 10 finishes. Team A placed second with a time of 3:23.14. This team consisted of Foster, Hinkson, Austin Hladek, and Persing. Team B was made up of Uber, James Parmelee, Craft, and Andrews that finished eighth after a 3:36.46 performance.
