Red Flash Softball Endures Defeat at Penn State; Garroway Ties Program Record

Saint Francis softball suffers a 12-0 shutout loss against Central Pa Rival Penn State on Tuesday evening at Nittany Lion Softball Park and Beard Field in University Park, PA.

FLASH MOMENTS
Despite the score, a historic milestone was achieved today. Coming straight out of the gate in the top half of the first inning, junior Aliya Garroway, who currently leads the team in on-base percentage with an impressive .523 on the season, extended her on-base streak to 31 straight games after drawing her team-leading 38th walk, tying the program record set way back in 2017 by Jordan Seneca.

Saint Francis softball is back in action this weekend, as they return home to Loretto, Pa., for more NEC play against the Sharks of LIU in the final home series of the 2026 season, starting with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 25, with a first pitch of 1 pm.
