Women Finish Second; Men Place Sixth at NEC Track & Field Championships

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> The Saint Francis track & field teams finished the 2026 outdoor season in Connecticut.
>> Women took second place with 105.5 points.
>> Men finished sixth with a score of 64.
>> Saint Francis claimed 44 top 10 finishes.
>> One event wins.

FLASH WOMEN NUGGETS
The women's team accumulated 22 top 10 finishes after the NEC Championship.

Olivia Renk took second place in the 200 meter with a time of 24.94. 

Gabriella del Pielago finished in sixth place with a time of 59.44.

Morgan McNaughton placed second in the 800 meter after a performance of 4:35.90. Savannah Hoover was not too far behind her in 10th place with a time of 5:02.61.

Rosie Gaydos claimed second place in the 5000 meter with 17:18.75. Anna Quackenbush took fourth with a time of 17:37.83 and Nina Connors finished with 18:07.94 in sixth.

Quackenbush also took second in the 10k with a time of 36:23.14. Isabella Leger finished in 10th with 41:09.48.

Adraya Baxter placed sixth in the 400m hurdle after a time of 1:08.82. 

Gaydos took second again, but this time in the 3000m steeplechase with 10:44.51. Connors followed right behind in third with 10:59.00.

The 4x100m relay team placed eighth with a time of 49.57. The team was made up of Paige Drake, Baxter, del Pielago, and Renk. 

The 4x400m relay team ran their way into seventh place after a time of 4:07.21. This team was combined of Renk, del Pielago, Mackenzie Hirt, and Sarah Colman

The 4x800m relay team took first after a 9:06.29 finish. McNaughton, Hirt, Colman, and Connors made up the team. 

Saige Wilt placed fourth in the high jump with a clear of 1.53m. 

Freshman Karsyn Ford took second in pole vault with 3.35m. Aubrie Wells finished in third with the same clearance of 3.35m. 

Rylee Nicklas finished in eighth place with a launch of 35.07m in discus. Nicklas also collected second place in javelin with a throw of 39.16m. 

Freshman Alayna Hulslander took eighth place after a throw of 40.85m in hammer. Catherine Pivarunas was right behind her in ninth with a launch of 39.03m. 

FLASH MEN NUGGETS
The men's team registered 22 top 10 performances.

Collin Dreese took fourth place in the 1500 meter after a run of 3:58.79. 

Aaron Tressler placed ninth in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:57.24.

The 4x100m relay team took ninth after a time of 43.58. The team consisted of Jayden Foster, Darius Harrell, Garrett Damewood, and Eaghan Kieff

The 4x400m relay team finished in sixth place with a time of 3:24.05. Austin Hladek, Tytan Hinkson, Harrell, and Tyler Persing made up this team. 

The 4x800m relay team also took sixth place after a 8:03.64 time. The team consisted of Michelangelo Piccirillo, Micah Brydon, James Parmelee, and Persing. 

Ayden Martinage took ninth in high jump after a clearance of 1.84m. 

Dylan Andrews finished in second place with a leap of 4.50m in pole vault. 

In long jump, Foster took fifth and Tyler Craft placed seventh. Foster had a leap of 7.02m and Craft had 6.95m.

Craft also took sixth in triple jump after a reach of 14.15m and Nehemyah Williams finished ninth in 13.98m. 

Clark Gulycz threw 17.64m in shot put to take second place. Junior Cam Wagner placed ninth with 14.44m. 

Wagner also took third in discus after a launch of 46.55m. Joseph Sevison finished in eighth with 45.37m. Freshman Brayden Ross ended with 10th place after 40.69m. 

Three Red Flash placed top 10 in hammer. Sevison took fourth (52.53m), Owen Degnan finished in fifth (52.09m), and Vincent Franco placed seventh (50.72m).

Dugan Chase, Ethan Stroup, and Austin Gray all had top 9 in javelin. Chase finished in second with 56.75m, Stroup claimed seventh (47.56m), and Gray grabbed ninth (45.02m).
