Biography
SOPHOMORE (2018-19) – Against Bowling Green (9/28), finished sixth in the 200 Freestyle, second in the 5x100 Freestyle Relay, t-fourth in the 50 Butterfly and seventh in the 200 Freestyle Relay...At the New England Catholic Invite (10/6), finished seventh in the 500 Freestyle (5:23.61), 14th in the 200 Medley Relay (1:59.04), 16th in the 200 Freestyle (2:02.35), sixth in the 1000 Freestyle (11:12.34) and 12th in the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:52.22)...At the Tom Stubbs Relays, finished third in the 800 Freestyle Relay (8:09.47), fourth in the 3x100 Butterfly Relay (3:08.14), second in the 500 Freestyle Relay (4:56.25), first in the 100 Medley Relay and sixth in the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:46.20)...At the ECAC Winter Championships, finished 48th in the 50 Freestyle (25.57), 19th in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:42.78), 61st in the 200 Freestyle (2:04.14), 48th in the 100 Freestyle (55.91) and ninth in the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:36.64)...Against Siena (1/12), finished second in the 200 Freestyle (2:02.17)...At the YSU Tri-Meet, finished 11th in the 200 Freestyle (2:04.12) and seventh in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:44.15)...At the Western Pennsylvania Invitational, finished ninth in the 200 Freestyle (1:58.39), sixth in the 50 Freestyle (25.28), and tenth in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:43.13)...At the NEC Championships (2/13-16), participated in the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:36.94) and participated in the 800 Freestyle Relay (7:48.28)...
FRESHMAN (2017-18) – At the NEC Championships, finished 11th in the 100 Butterfly (58.33), 16th in the 500 Freestyle (5:10.15) and 15th in the 1650 Freestyle (18:04.84). Helped her 200 Medley Relay team to a time of 1:47.69, ranking 10th all-time at SFU… At the Justin Jennings Invite (10/6), placed 12th in the 1650 Freestyle (19:22.73), 17th in the 500 Freestyle (5:26.21) and 20th in the 100 Butterfly (1:02.42), while contributing to a fourth-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay (1:51.06)… At the Northeast Catholic Invitational (10/13), finished 15th in the 100 Butterfly (1:01.66), 17th in the 500 Freestyle (5:26.51) and 17th in the 1000 Freestyle (11:22.47). Contributed to seventh-place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay (1:55.54) and 400 Medley Relay (4:06.97)… In the meet vs. Siena (1/20), finished second in the 500 Freestyle (5:21.19).
BEFORE SFU - Nguyen swam at Mason High School in Ohio. She has career best times of 2:00.37 in the 200-yard Freestyle, 5:05.69 in the 500-yard Freestyle and 56.90 in the 100-yard Butterfly. She has competed at the Ohio State Championships three times, including a time of 58.22 in the 100-yard Butterfly at last year's championships. Nguyen is also a member of SFU Water Polo team. She was a member of the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Team and scored 290 goals in her high school career. She was a two-time USA Water Polo Academic All-American.
