Ceretta begins her sixth season as the head coach of the Red Flash field hockey team in 2022.
She has ushered in the return to the Northeast Conference in 2021 and had two players named to the All-Northeast Conference second team. In 2022, she had 22 players named to the NEC ACademic Honor Roll,. the NFHCA Academic Honor and 10 student-athletes earned NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.
She has now coached one first-team recipient, four second-team honors and an All-Rookie selection in her five seasons as head coach. In addition, her players excel in the classroom with the team receiving the NFHCA Team Academic Award four straight seasons, along with several players being named to the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction in her time as head coach in Loretto.
Ceretta was named the fourth head field hockey coach in program history on April 13, 2017.
Ceretta most recently served as an assistant at Brown University in 2016, guiding the Bears to an 8-9 record.
Before her time at Brown, Caretta spent the 2015 season at Mount St. Joseph Academy in Flourtown, Pa., as an assistant and goalkeeper coach. At the same time, Ceretta also coached the Mystx Field Hockey Club (2014-2016). With the Mystx, Ceretta molded the squad into a top-10 team in the United States in 2014 and 2015. She also helped select and coach U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19 teams at a variety of USA field hockey tournaments.
From 2013 through the 2014 season, Ceretta was an assistant and goalkeeper coach for the varsity and junior varsity teams at Merion Mercy Academy in Merion Station, Pa. Ceretta also coached the WC Eagles during that same period.
Internationally, Ceretta was the head coach of the Uruguayan Women's National Team from January 2009 to May 2011. With the national team, Ceretta selected and coached the group for the South American Championship (2010), where the squad earned a bronze medal. She also managed the U14, U16 and U21 Uruguay National programs, which included responsibilities with camps, clinics and international competition. Ceretta also developed goalkeeping clinics for national goalies of all ages for the first time in Uruguay. In 2007-2008, Ceretta was the head coach of the Uruguayan Field Hockey U14 and U16 National Teams. Following her time as the national coach, Ceretta was awarded the Best Field Hockey Coach in Uruguay (2012).
Ceretta's coaching career began as the head coach at The British Schools in Montevideo, Uruguay (2003-2012). There, she coached U14, U16 and U18 teams and guided them to Uruguayan National Championship victories (2004-2012). Her duties included managing the entire field hockey school program, camps, clinics and official games from U7 to U18. She also monitored and assigned teams to 10 coaches in the program and oversaw the academic performance of student-athletes in addition to athletic progress.
Competitively, Ceretta was an international player for 15 years representing the Uruguayan National Team, winning a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in 2003. She also competed in first division club field hockey for teams in Uruguay, Argentina and Spain.
Ceretta graduated from the Universidad de Montevideo in Montevideo, Uruguay in 2005. She holds a USA Field Hockey Level II certification and was a certified Pan American coach (Canada 2015). In addition, she became a citizen of the United States in 2022.
