Kovalski started all four years at Crestwood High School, winning the Wyoming Valley Conference and District II Championships her senior season. She also competed in the Keystone State Games where he teams won the championship in 2023, 2024, 2025.

Kovalski was also a member of the X-Calibur and Brave Field Hockey Clubs in Pennsylvania.
