Jacob Craig rejoined Saint Francis football in February 2024 as the program's defensive coordinator. He previously spent three seasons on the staff from 2017-19 as a defensive line and outside linebackers coach. 
 
Craig previously spent two seasons at NCAA Division II member California (Pa.) as the program's special teams coordinator and defensive line coach. During his two seasons, the Volcans went 13-8 overall and 10-4 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) games.
 
In 2022, Cal ranked second in Division II in run defense with 57.7 rushing yards per game allowed. The Volcans' ranked top-15 nationally in total sacks during both of Craig's seasons.
 
He coached kicker Anthony Bietko to 2022 First Team and 2023 Second Team All-PSAC selections. He also guided defensive linemen Derrick Korbio and Gerald Brown and punter Clayton Ronsensteel to Second Team All-PSAC honors in 2022.
 
Craig spent the 2021 spring and fall season at NCAA Division III member Saint Vincent as the defensive coordinator. During the fall season, Craig coached the Bearcats' defense to top-25 nationally in defensive touchdowns (eighth), interceptions (16th) and turnovers gained (21st). Four Saint Vincent defenders earned All-Presidents Athletic Conference honors under his guidance.
 
Prior to Saint Vincent, Craig had his first stint with Saint Francis from 2017-19. He spent the 2018-19 seasons as the defensive line coach after he was the outside linebackers coach in 2017. As the defensive line coach, he assisted the Red Flash defense to eight top-20 stat category finishes in two seasons, highlighted by two top-10 finishes in tackles for loss.
 
He guided defensive lineman Jalen Brown to NEC Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2018 and James Watkins to All-Northeast Conference Second Team in 2019.
 
Craig began his collegiate playing career at Pitt in 2012 as a walk-on. He earned an athletic scholarship in 2014 and spent the season as a defensive signal caller. He then played two seasons at Clarion University and recorded 119 total tackles (56 solo) with two interceptions and four forced fumbles. He was selected a Second Team Academic All-American in his senior season.
 
He earned his bachelor's degree in secondary education with a minor in athletic coaching from Clarion in 2017 after he graduated from Pitt in 2015 with a double major in architectural studies and history.
