Joe Causgrove begins his second season as the Director of Basketball Operations under head coach Rob Krimmel in 2022-23.
Causgrove came to Loretto after serving as an assistant coach at Mercyhurst University for the last two years. He helped Mercyhurst post a 32-9 record in the two seasons and the team advanced to the NCAA Tournament in both seasons. Causgrove earned his Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership in 2021.
He served as a student assistant coach at Penn State Behrend in 2018-19, helping the team capture the AMCC championship and participate in the NCAA Division III Tournament with a 25-6 record. Causgrove graduated from Behrend with a Bachelor's degree in Project and Supply Chain Management.
While he was a student at Penn State Behrend, Causgrove was an assistant coach at a local high school for two seasons. The team managed to win the District 10 Championship and advanced to the PIAA playoffs.
