Marquise Stancil

Marquise Stancil enters his second season for the Red Flash track & field program as an assistant coach in 2015-16.

Stancil’s sprinters have continued to strive for success during the track & field seasons. Freshman Daniel Meyer won SFU’s most outstanding freshman student-athlete award along with being named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week four different times throughout the year. Nicholas Conway won the 60m hurdles at the NEC Indoor Championships as the SFU men finished third overall.

Stancil comes to Loretto after competing and coaching at Temple for the past 10 years. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education in 2009 and just completed his master's degree in Education and Leadership in June of 2014.
 
Stancil started as a volunteer assistant coach after finishing his undergraduate studies for the Owls and stayed at that position for three seasons. He then became a graduate assistant coach for two seasons and was hired as an assistant coach in July of 2013.

While at Temple, Stancil helped coach the 2010 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Women's Team Champions and he has coached 59 ECAC/IC4A Indoor Qualifiers, 63 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Qualifiers, eight NCAA Regional Qualifiers, and two Junior National Qualifiers. He also helped coach student-athletes to six school records.
 
Stancil will work mainly with the sprinters and hurdlers at Saint Francis and he is USTFCCCA Track and Field Technical Coaching Certified.
