If you had to pick a new name for yourself, what name would you pick for yourself? I would still pick Mikayla Bower because I dig my name-The one and only.
Biggest Softball Influence? My sister Alexis Bower
One thing I would change about softball? Make rise pitches an illegal pitch.
If I were coach for a day? I would blast worship music in the weight room and at the field as a reminder that we play to worship and glorify the Lord.
If you had a million dollars? I would start my small business and develop a plan of action for microlending in underdeveloped countries.
Your favorite thing about Saint Francis? Prince Gallitzin is buried here. If you don't know who he is or why he is significant, ask me sometime.
Why did you choose Saint Francis? Why did I stay is the better question- because once I chose it, I learned over time how special this place and the people in it are and how vital the atmosphere was to my growth as a person and in my faith.
What are your goals for the upcoming season? Win a conference championship followed by a regional championship.

FRESHMAN (2016) – Appeared in 32 games this year, including 16 starts, while splitting time between third base and designated player… Batted .286 with 16 hits, including two doubles and two home runs, 11 runs and nine RBI… Ended the season with a .355 on-base percentage and a .429 slugging percentage… Also stole two bases… Made four pitching appearances with a 6.56 ERA in 5.1 innings… First start came against Eastern Kentucky(2/14), when she had a hit and a run… Threw a shutout inning against Mount St. Mary’s (2/28)… Went 2-for-2 and hit a walkoff RBI double in a mercy-rule win over Cornell(3/12) in the first game of a doubleheader. Followed that with a 4-for-4 performance, scoring three runs and driving in four, including a three-run homer in the sixth inning, which also served as a walkoff in a mercy-rule victory… Hit a solo home run against Canisius(3/18)… Went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and a double against Cornell(3/19)… Had a hit and a run vs. Lafayette(3.24) and LIU Brooklyn(4/2)… Allowed one run and struck out a batter in two innings vs. Bryant(4/23)… Drove in a run vs. Central Connecticut State(5/5).
BEFORE SFU – Three-time Lycoming County ESPN Outstanding Player honoree at Williamsport Area High School for Head Coach Quint Bower... Batted .492 last season with 31 hits, including 11 doubles, three triples and a home run. Also scored nine runs and knocked in 20… On the mound, went 9-4 with a 1.03 ERA in 14 appearances. She struck out 100 batters, while only walking 12 in 81.2 innings… Selected First Team All-State in class AAAA in 2015… Also a member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL – Daughter of Patricia and Quint Bower… Sister of Alexis Bower, who also played softball for the Red Flash… Intends to major in Business Management at Saint Francis.
