Jeanine Wasielewski

Jeanine Wasielewski was named an assistant coach in May 2019.

In her first season at SFU, Wasielewski led the development of the Saint Francis guards including NEC All-Conference Third Teamer Karson Swogger, who led the team at 11.5 ppg. Classmate Haley Thomas also flourished under Wasielewski, averaging 10.5 ppg and 6.2 rpg. 

Wasielewski joined Saint Francis with 13 years of coaching experience, including most recently serving as a strategic specialist at Penn State the past two seasons.

Wasielewski was previously an assistant coach at Loyola University Chicago for three seasons from 2013-16. She was an assistant coach at Division II Metropolitan State in 2012-13 and helped lead the program to 21 wins while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Before joining the staff at Metro State, Wasielewski gained coaching experience as an assistant at Colorado Academy and also spent some time at the club level with the Rocky Mountain Rockers and the Colorado Rockies Basketball Club.

A native of South Bend, Ind., Wasielewski enjoyed a successful collegiate playing career at Northwestern, helping the Wildcats to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances. A two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, she played in 96 games for NU, racking up 914 points and 367 rebounds.

Wasielewski graduated from Northwestern in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and earned an MBA from the University of Denver in 2004.
