Rachel Halaszynski has been the Director of Operations for the SFU women’s basketball team since 2015-16.

As a member of the Red Flash staff, Halaszynski  coordinates the team’s community outreach, travel arrangements, youth camps, and directs student managers. In her time in Loretto, she has helped expand the staff to seven with the addition of two graduate assistants, which she also oversees. 

Halaszynski came to Loretto from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas where she served as a graduate assistant for two seasons.  She was part of a Ravens’ staff that led the team to a pair of 20-win seasons including a run to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament. 

Halaszynski enjoyed a successful playing career at Penn State-McKeesport where she served as team captain for three seasons and was named all PSU-Athletic Conference for three seasons.
