Matt Manz joined the Saint Francis Department of Athletics in August 2021 as an Athletic Communications/Digital Media Graduate Assistant.
In his role with the Red Flash, Manz will assist with efforts such as gameday broadcasting, uploading live statistics, on-site camera duties, and adding new material to the SFU Athletics website.
Manz arrives in Loretto after completing his bachelor’s degree at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in the field of Sport Management with a minor in Leadership in May of 2021. In his time at Slippery Rock, Manz worked in the Athletic Communications Department assisting with live statistics, camera operation, and play-by-play broadcasting for sports such as men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, baseball, and field hockey.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Manz also has worked in sport organizations such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Robert Morris Athletics Department, Washington Wild Things, and Allderdice High School Athletics Department. Additionally, Manz was the President of the Sport Management Alliance while completing his bachelor’s degree at Slippery Rock University.Â
