FRESHMAN (2017-18) – NEC All-Rookie Team… Went 12-10 in singles, tying for the team lead in wins, and 14-12 in doubles… In dual matches, went 11-5 in singles, leading the team in wins, with a 6-2 record at No. 4 and going 5-3 at No. 5… Combined with Laura Gutierrez for an 8-8 record at No. 1 doubles… In NEC play, went 5-0 in singles and 3-2 in doubles.

BEFORE SFU - Tamarkin was rated as a three-star prospect by TennisRecruiting.net. She was also ranked as the No. 1 player in her class in Washington, D.C. and the 211th-best player in her class in the nation. She competed at the No. 1 spot for School Without Walls High School, going undefeated in her prep career. Helped the Penguins to a conference championship and a state championship match appearance.
