Evan Falbo

Evan Falbo returns to Saint Francis in August 2016, serving as a track and field assistant coach. He will mainly work with the jumpers and sprinters.

Falbo graduated from Saint Francis University in 2015 with a degree in Middle Level Childhood Education. During his time at SFU, he was named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll and was the track and field representative on the Saint Francis University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

“Evan had an outstanding career here as a student-athlete. He has always been a student of the sport. I’m thrilled to welcome him back to our program,” said head coach Doug Hoover.

He was named the Delegate of the Presidential Inauguration of Fr. Malachi Van Tassel.
Falbo is currently a member of the United States Army National Guard.  

He spent five years volunterring at the Altoona Area School District, where he taught pole-vaulting for ages 11-18. From 2012-14, Falbo helped coach at Pole Vault Education Initiative Camp in Gettysburg, Pa.

“The fact that he has chosen to return here speaks to his passion for the sport of track and field and for Saint Francis University. He is a great fit to our program and the university. He’s going to be a tremendous help to our student-athletes,” continued Hoover.
 
As a student-athlete at Saint Francis, he scored in five NEC Championships. During the 2015 indoor season, Falbo placed second in the pole vault and sixth in the distance medley relay. His 27.25 career points ranks 43rd on Saint Francis’ all-time scoring list. He finished his career ranked second on the all-time indoor performance list with a vault of 4.65m (15’3”) and fourth on the outdoor performance list with a mark of 4.40m (14’ 5.25”).

Evan is the son of current Saint Francis bowling head coach Tom Falbo.
