LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 20, 2007) – The Saint Francis University women's volleyball team fell to Northeast Conference rival Long Island, 3-0, on Saturday at DeGol Arena.  The loss drops the Red Flash to 7-17 on the season and 1-1 in the NEC.

Junior Keshia Gibbs (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) led the Flash offensively with six kills, while establishing a .231 hitting percentage.  Defensively, Gibbs helped out with a dig and attempted a block.

Sophomore Shirley Miller (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) and freshman Lindsay Malloy (Gallitzin, Pa./Penn Cambria) (Gallitzin, Pa./Penn Cambria) each notched four kills for SFU.

Freshman Rachel Capizzi (Saint Louis, Mo./Mehlville) (St. Louis, Mo./Mehlville) paced her teammates defensively with five digs.

The Red Flash return to action on Sunday when they welcome Wagner for a 2 p.m. contest.
