LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 24, 2007) – Junior Kristin Buter (Bowie, MD/Bowie) (Bowie, Md. / Bowie) had 18 kills, 13 digs and 3 blocks, but the Saint Francis women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 setback against Bucknell on Wednesday night at DeGol Arena in the Maurice Stokes Athletics Center.
Freshman Lindsay Malloy (Gallitzin, Pa./Penn Cambria) (Gallitzin, Pa. / Penn Cambria) added 14 kills and 3 blocks and sophomore Shirley Miller (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) (Fairless Hills, Pa. / Pennsbury) had 15 kills in the 30-24, 31-29, 17-30, 30-20 loss.
Jenna Henderson led all players with 23 kills for the Bison, while Allison Gittings dished out 51 assists.
Junior Keshia Gibbs (Dumfries, Va. / Forest Park) had 10 kills and a block for Saint Francis, sophomore Rikki Myers (Noblesville, IN/Westfield) (Noblesville, Ind. / Westfield had 32 assists in two games, and freshman Alexa Ebert (Titusville, PA/Titusville) (Titusville, Pa. / Titusville) pitched in with 24 assists in two games.
The Red Flash fell to 8-18 on the year, while Bucknell improved to 11-13. Saint Francis looks to get back in the win column with a pair of Northeast Conference matches at Quinnipiac and Central Connecticut State this Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
