LEWISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2007) –Sophomore Shirley Miller (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) (Fairless Hills, Pa. / Pennsbury) had a pair of double-digit kills efforts, but the Saint Francis women's volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions against Radford and Bucknell on Saturday.
Miller had 13 kills and 8 digs in a 30-23, 30-27, 30-26 loss against Radford. She followed that up with 10 kills and 5 digs against the Bison in a 32-30, 30-17, 30-25 defeat.
Against Radford, junior Kristin Buter (Bowie, MD/Bowie) (Bowie, Md. / Bowie) contributed 11 kills, 2 aces and 8 digs, and freshman Rachel Capizzi (Saint Louis, Mo./Mehlville) (Saint Louis, Mo. / Mehlville) added 6 kills, 4 aces and a block.
Buter added 13 kills, 2 aces and 2 blocks against Bucknell. Sophomore Rikki Myers (Noblesville, IN/Westfield) (Noblesville, Ind. / Westfield) dished out 29 assists.
The Red Flash will try to bounce back when the host the Red Flash Invitational next Friday and Saturday at DeGol Arena.
