PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (Sept. 28, 2007) – Sophomore Shirley Miller (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) (Fairless Hills, Pa. / Pennsbury) had 10 kills, 7 digs and 3 service aces, but the Saint Francis women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at tournament-host Maryland-Eastern Shore on Friday night.
Sophomore Rikki Myers (Noblesville, IN/Westfield) (Noblesville, Ind. / Westfield) dished out 27 assists and had 4 digs, junior Kristin Buter (Bowie, MD/Bowie) (Bowie, Md. / Bowie) had 7 kills, 6 digs and 2 blocks, and junior Kayla Greenwalt (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Widefield) added 7 kills, 3 aces and 3 blocks.
The Red Flash dropped to 3-13 on the year. They will return to the court with two matches on Saturday against Norfolk State (11 a.m.) and Delaware State (3 p.m.).
Whitney Johnson led UMES with 12 kills.
