LORETTO, Pa. (Nov. 2, 2008) – The Saint Francis women's volleyball team was out-hit and out-blocked in losing a 3-0 decision against Long Island in Northeast Conference action on Sunday afternoon at DeGol Arena.

Senior Keshia Gibbs (Dumfries, VA/Forest Park) (Dumfries, Va. / Forest Park) hit .261 with nine kills and three blocks and junior Rikki Myers (Noblesville, IN/Westfield) (Noblesville, Ind. / Westfield) dished out 27 assists, but the Red Flash fell to 2-2 in the league with a 25-22, 25-20, 25-22 loss.

The Blackbirds were paced by Martina Racic with 13 kills and 11 digs.

Senior Kristin Buter (Bowie, MD/Bowie) (Bowie, Md. / Bowie) had nine kills, two aces, a match-high 16 digs and two blocks for Saint Francis.

The Red Flash will try to bounce back when they travel to Sacred Heart and Fairleigh Dickinson next Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
