Red Flash Suffer 3-0 Men’s Soccer Setback at St. Francis-NY

LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 16, 2009) – Junior goalkeeper Darius Motazed (North Vancouver, Canada/Sentinel Secondary) (North Vancouver, Canada / Sentinel Secondary) stopped five shots, but the Saint Francis men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback at St. Francis-NY on Friday night.

Jeverton De Lorenzi scored the Terriers' first two goals – one in the 14th minute and then again in the 79th minute – and Leonardo Buttitta added another in the 81st minute to account for the scoring.

The Red Flash dropped to 4-9-1 overall, and 0-4-1 in the Northeast Conference, while St. Francis-NY improved to 6-5 and 3-1, respectively. Saint Francis will return to action with a 1 p.m. Sunday contest at Long Island.

St. Francis-NY held a 16-6 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. The Red Flash were called offside twice, while the Terriers were whistled four times.
