In game one the Flash jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Freshman Katie McMellen (Kingsville, OH/Edgewood) led off the inning with a single, and advanced to third on a single by senior Kara Stroup (Valencia, PA /Mars) (Valencia, Pa/Mars). On the next play Stroup got in a run down allowing McMellen to score.

The Flash added two more runs in the bottom of the second. Junior Christina Aulbach (York, PA /Dallastown Area) (York, Pa/Dallastown Area) led the one out rally with a hit-by-pitch. Senior Nicki Waligora (Johnstown, Pa/Westmont Hilltop) then walked to put runners at first and second before Senior Janelle McCoy (New Paris, PA /Chestnut Ridge) (New Paris, Pa/Chestnut Ridge) knocked in a run. Junior Kelly Cortese (Coatesville, PA/Bishop Shanahan) (Coatesville, Pa/Bishop Shanahan) followed with another hit to score Waligora.

Drexel bounced back in the top of the fifth inning when they scored on a suicide squeeze but, that would be all Drexel could push across.

The Flash battled back in the sixth. Junior Jamie Dixon (Revloc, PA /Central Cambria ) (Revloc, Pa/Central Cambria) led the surge with a single to left and was moved over on an infield single by Junior Stephanie Griffin (Dupont, PA /Pittston Area ) (DuPont, Pa/Pittston Area). A sacrifice bunt by Freshman Courtney Francis (Jefferson, OH/Jefferson Area) put both Dixon and Griffin in scoring position. Waligora then cleared the bases with a long single to left-center. Two batters later Cortese knocked in Sophomore Michelle Spisak (McKees Rocks, Pa/Sto-Rox) (McKees Rocks, Pa/Sto-Rox) who was pinch running to make the score 6-1 and end the scoring for the game.

Laura Caldwell (Bellefonte, PA /Bellefonte) (Bellefonte, Pa/Bellefonte) picked up the win on the mound for the Flash. Caldwell pitched a complete game and struck out eight.

Cortese, McMellen , and Waligora all had two hits apiece. Cortese and Waligora each had two RBIs.
