LEWISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 23, 2009) – A short-handed Saint Francis men's soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 setback on Wednesday afternoon at in-state rival Bucknell.

The Red Flash played even with the Bison for 84 minutes before senior, and leading scorer, Daniel Moir (Christchurch, New Zealand/Shirley Boys) (Christchurch, New Zealand) was ejected with a red card. Bucknell's Andrew Powell broke a scoreless tie just three minutes later to hand SFU a gut-wrenching loss.

Junior goalkeeper Darius Motazed (North Vancouver, Canada/Sentinel Secondary) (North Vancouver, Canada / Sentinel Secondary) stopped seven shots in the contest, including five in the first half. Sophomore Kingsley McLeod (Rocky Mount, N.C./Rocky Mount) (Rocky Mount, N.C. / Rocky Mount) led the Red Flash with four of the team's six shots.

The Bison held a 19-6 advantage in shots, and a 7-1 edge in corner kicks, while both teams committed eight fouls. Marc Hartmann stopped two shots for Bucknell, which improved to 5-2 on the season.

Saint Francis (3-5) will try to get back on the winning track with a 3 p.m. Sunday contest at Howard.
