LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis women's cross country team hosted its annual meet the Father Bede Hines Invitational Saturday and finished third out of three teams competing.
 
Feleisha Wright (Philadelphia, Pa./Jules Mastbaum) led the team taking 18th overall with a time of 21:40 on the 5-kilometer course. Colleen Kelly (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) crossed the line second for the Flash and 23rd overall with a time of 22:09. Calley Bridges (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) took 27th overall and finished third for the SFU in a time of 22:32. Sarah Frydrych (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) took fourth for the Red Flash while crossing the line in a time of 22:46 to earn a 30th-place finish overall.
 
Hannah Reist (Cleona, Pa./Cedar Crest) rounded out the scoring five for Saint Francis taking 33rd overall in a time of 23:29. Sara Benfer (23:57) and Lauren Krug (Ashville, Pa./Penn Cambria) (24:52) rounded out the top seven for Saint Francis finishing 34th and 35th respectfully.
 
Saint Francis returns to action next week in Easton, Pa. as the Red Flash travel to the Lafeyette Invitational Oct. 15.
