Women's volleyball drops three set decision to Sacred Heart

LORETTO, Pa. (Nov. 12, 2011)
– The Saint Francis University women's volleyball team dropped a straight sets decision (14-25, 19-25, 21-25) to Sacred Heart Saturday afternoon at DeGol Arena.

Sacred Heart (24-7, 13-2) came out firing in the opening set against the Red Flash (9-21, 4-11) and registered a team attack percentage of .348, putting down 12 kills. The Pioneers had three players reach double digits in kills.

Junior Amanda Zahumensky (Sarver, Pa./Freeport Area) led the Flash with six kills while sophomore libero Brittany Stambaugh (Leola, Pa./Conestoga Valley) reached 12 digs. Junior Lauren Wingard (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) posted a match-high three service aces in the loss.

Saint Francis wraps up the 2011 season tomorrow at 1 p.m. when Quinnipiac visits Loretto for the season finale.
