Box Score

NEW BRITIAN, Conn. (Nov. 5, 2011)
– The Saint Francis University women's volleyball team dropped a three-set match (13-25, 14-25, 24-26) on the road to Central Connecticut State Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Devils (18-9, 9-4) controlled the majority of the match and did not allow the Red Flash (8-20, 3-10) to gain any type of momentum in the first two sets. Saint Francis put together a much stronger effort in the third set however and found themselves with set point late in the set, 24-19. CCSU though strung together seven consecutive points to push past the Flash and earn the set and match win.

Junior Lauren Wingard (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) paced the team's offensive attack in the match by registering 12 kills. Wingard was the only Flash player to reach the double-digit mark in kills. Sophomore Logan Meinert (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) dished out a team-high 18 kills, while freshman Madison Virgin (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion) posted the first double-digit assist performance of her career with 11. Leading SFU's defensive efforts is sophomore Breanna Kochinsky (Nicktown, Pa./Northern Cambria) with 11 digs.
