PREGAME SUPPLEMENT
Due to time constraints, today's release is an abridged version.
Saint Francis will close out 2011 when it plays Saint Louis in Seattle in the consolation round of the Delta Dental Holiday Tournament on Friday.
Less than 20 hours after dropping a tough 74-70 decision to the host Seattle Redhawks, the Red Flash will play its third Atlantic 10 opponent of the season -- the Billikens -- at KeyArena. SLU fell, 66-55, to Eastern Michigan in yesterday's action.
The Red Flash has earned a 2-4 record on the road this season, as it marks the midway point on a season-long road jaunt. Saint Francis' seven-game swing includes stops in five states and will officially end when the Flash plays its first home game in 34 days on Jan. 14.
Currently on a three-game skid, Saint Louis has one player who averages a double-digit scoring total this season – Courtney Webb (12.1). However, its roster features five other players who average over six points per outing. Four of SLU's nine losses have been by five points or fewer.
The Flash is currently 0-4 in three west coast trips. Prior to yesterday's loss, SFU's game in the Pacific Northwest came in 2005, when the Red Flash opened its season at the Women's Sports Foundation Challenge at the University of Oregon.
