LORETTO, Pa. (Aug. 16, 2011) – The Saint Francis University Football team entered its second week of camp Monday and earned a short break from the heat with a thunderstorm that forced the Red Flash into a night practice; Tuesday SFU was back in the heat.
Special teams was the order of the day with field goals and punts flying around DeGol Field Tuesday, which was another day with little cloud cover and little respite from another hot day. The Red Flash used the heat to build up their conditioning.
SFU went 11-on-11 and also ran through position drills in full pads. There was once again a good back and forth between the offense and the defense with each side winning battles. Saint Francis finished the day Tuesday with some tough cardio hill work.
Following the practice Blair Grover tight ends coach and special teams assistant talked about camp the heat and his vocal coaching style with SFUAthletics.com
