BOX SCORE LORETTO, Pa. – (Oct. 26, 2013) In front of a rambunctious home crowd the Red Flash fell in three straight sets to the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils. Central Connecticut (15-7; 6-2) claimed the regular season series over the Red and White (3-19; 3-6) in Saturday afternoons win.

Breanna Kochinsky (Nicktown, Pa./Northern Cambria) led the way for Saint Francis with a double digit performance in digs. Leeanne Haus (Mars, Pa./North Allegheny) also posted a double digit showing, with 10 digs. Posting two service aces and eight kills on the day, Maria Cup (Chesterland, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) led SFU in both columns.

Saint Francis controlled the first set until the Blue Devils went on a 7-1 run to claim the first set 26-24. CCSU outmatched the Red Flash in the second set jumping out to a 16-9 advantage and eventually winning on a 9-2 streak. The Blue Devils edged out Saint Francis in the third set 25-20 on a kill by Heather Trueman.

The Red Flash travel to Robert Morris Nov. 2 for a 7 p.m. match.
