LORETTO, Pa. (June 27, 2013) – Six Saint Francis University student-athletes were named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Academic Honor Roll, it was announced recently. 

Heidi Baumert (Lincoln, Neb./Pius X), Annie Beliles (Verona, Pa./Penn Hills), Lindsay Corner (Drexel Hill, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), Lauren Johnson (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Southeast), Christina Leid (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) and Sarah Ross (Crescent, Pa./Moon Area) all represented the Red Flash on the list with a GPA of 3.4 or higher.  Baumert, Beliles, Corner and Johnson each earned the award for the second consecutive season.

Saint Francis made impressive strides in its third varsity season, advancing to the Northeast Conference Championship match and finishing with a no. 11 national ranking.

The NTCA honored fifteen student-athletes with first, second and third team mention. A total of 164 student-athletes representing thirty-four schools were named to the NTCA's academic honor roll.
