BOX SCORE LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis women's volleyball team had a season-high 12 aces as it defeated St. Francis Brooklyn in straight sets Sunday afternoon at DeGol Arena. Seniors

Sophie Murdock (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion ) hit .429 with seven kills. The Flash won 25-15, 25-16, and 25-19.
The first set saw 11 tied scores and four lead changes as the teams stayed neck-and-neck through the first half of the game. With the Terriers ahead, 13-12,
Chelsea Easter (Burlington, Ontario, Canada/Notre Dame Roman Catholic) recorded a kill to tie the score. She finished the afternoon with four kills. That gave the serve back to the Flash, and Blenkarn went on a run from behind the line. She fueled the Flash to seven straight points, including all four of her aces. That put the Red Flash ahead, 20-13, as it cruised to a 25-15 win in the game. Jeckell and Opera each had three kills in the set.
Hannah Kutny (Clifton Park, N.Y./Catholic Central) helped bring the Flash back from a four-point deficit in the second set. She came into the match ranked second in the NEC in kills, but her service game put the Flash ahead in the middle game. Trailing 12-8, the Flash got the ball back after a Terriers' service error. Kutny's serve fueled the final six points of a 7-0 Flash run, in which she had two aces and a kill. That run put the Flash ahead, 15-12, as it went on for a 25-16 win. Opera had three more kills in the second set, while
Maria Cup (Chesterland, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) hit .500 with two kills. Blenkarn had five digs to lead the team in the set.
The Flash jumped ahead in the third game. After winning the serve after the first point, Jeckell capped the 5-0 start with an ace. Kills by Murdock and Easter pushed the advantage to 10-3. Later in the set, kills by Kutny and Murdock preceded another Jeckell ace to extend the Flash lead to 17-11. The Terriers pulled to within four at 22-18, but an error and two kills by Opera closed the match with a 25-19 third set victory.
The Red Flash held the Terriers to a .045 hitting percentage with 22 errors. The Flash recorded eight total team blocks, with Murdock posting a solo block and six block assists.
