LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis women's volleyball team received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award on Thursday. This marks the 15th time and fourth consecutive year the team has achieved the recognition.

First instituted in 1992, the AVCA Team Academic Award goes to collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.30 for the academic year.

Saint Francis earned a 3.659 GPA during the 2025-2026 school year.

Coach Sara Spielvogel's team begins the 2026 campaign in New York. Saint Francis will face Alfred State University on Friday, Sept. 4. Click here to see the full schedule.
