LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis softball team placed nine players on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes list. Eight of the nine players are returners to the team for the 2015 season.
 
Student-athletes were required to carry a 3.5 GPA through the fall and spring semesters of the previous school year. Chelsy Cosentino (New Kensington, Pa./Kiski Area) is the only non-returner of the group. She graduated in the spring.
 
The eight returners on the list are Shannon Tomasello (Scottdale, Pa./Southmoreland), Alexis Bower (Cogan Station, Pa./Williamsport Area), Ketarah DeVries (Forreston, Ill./Forreston), Samantha Thomas (Sterling, Va./Park View), Ethel Santai (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove Area), Kindra Witthus (Hudson, Wis./Hudson), Aly Ramsaier (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View) and Kelsie Marconi (Lowber, Pa./Yough).
