BOX SCORE LORETTO, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2014) -- The Saint Francis women's volleyball defeated the Bryant Bulldogs 3-1 Saturday afternoon improving to 6-4 in Northeast Conference play.
 
Saint Francis claimed a first set nail bitter winning the first set 27-25 after the Bulldogs attempted to gain an early lead on the Flash.
 
The Red Flash continued to pour on the heat winning the second set in 25-16 fashion. The second set featured three ties and one lead exchange.
 
The Bulldogs responded to the Red Flash offensive explosion with an offensive threat of their own in the third set. Bryant ended any chance of a Saint Francis sweep winning the set 25-19. The Frankies won the fourth and final set 25-19.
 
Saint Francis had three student athletes with double-digit performances in the kill column. Breanna Opera (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster ) led the way with 16, while Hannah Kutny (Clifton Park, N.Y./Catholic Central) and Kayla Jeckell (Mountaintop, Pa./Crestwood) recorded 15 and 10 kills respectively.
 
SFU returns to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. for senior day.
