BOX SCORE BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Nov. 16, 2014) -- The Saint Francis U women's volleyball team ended the 2014 regular season with a 3-1 win over the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers.
The Terriers jumped on the Red Flash early in the first set squeaking out a 25-21 first set win. SFU responded to the Terriers opening offensive front by sweeping the remaining sets, 25-19, 25-10, and 25-15.
The Red Flash improved to 12-16 overall, with an 8-6 mark in Northeast Conference play.
Breanna Opera (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster ) surpassed
Hannah Kutny (Clifton Park, N.Y./Catholic Central) in season-high kills performances recording 24 kills and a .455 hitting percentage in today's victory.
Alanna Blenkarn (Pickering, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) tallied 44 assisted and four kills in the match.
Kutny marked 17 digs respectively. Opera had a game-high in points with 28.
Next up the Red Flash will return to Brooklyn, N.Y. for the 2014 NEC volleyball Championship.
Saint Francis U earned the No. 3 seed and will faceoff against the No. 2 seeded Robert Morris Colonials Nov. 22.
