BOX SCORE MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Nov. 8, 2014) -- The Saint Francis U women's volleyball fell 3-0 to the Robert Morris Colonials Saturday afternoon ending a two-game Northeast Conference winning streak. The Colonials doused the Flash 25-17, 25-13, 25-19 inside the Charles L. Sewall Center. Breanna Opera (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster ) was a spark of light during the contest for the Red Flash. She continued to hit the ball well, producing 15 kills and a .324 attacking percentage. Opera led all individuals in points at the conclusion of the match with 16.
Freshman
Jenna Veres (Independence, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) led the Saint Francis in dig column with 17; she also chipped in a kill.
The Colonials controlled the majority of the three set contest holding the Frankies to four ties and two lead changes.
SFU had several rallies in the first set, cutting the Colonial led from 20-8 to 22-16. RMU responded to the Red Flash offensive surge claiming the first set 25-17.
Saint Francis continued to struggle on the attack losing the second and third set 25-13 and 25-19.
The Red Flash will continue to fight for a playoff spot Nov. 15 when they faceoff against the top ranked LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds.
