BOX SCORE  KALAMAZOO, Mich. – (Aug. 29, 2014) The Saint Francis woman's volleyball opened their season by falling in straight sets to IPFW (25-21, 25-21, 25-21) in their opening game of the Bronco Classic.
 
Saint Francis U used a 13-8 run in the second set to close IPFW's lead to 17-15, but it wasn't enough to over come IPFW's 9-2 opening lead. The third set, which was a back and forth battle, had 11 ties and four lead changes, but ultimately downed the Red Flash on IPFW's Kendall Wienkes' 13th kill.
 
Saint Francis U senior setter, Alanna Blenkarn (Pickering, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) led all players with 27 assists while adding three digs to go with freshman libero Jenna Veres (Independence, Ohio/Padua Franciscan)' game high 15 digs.
 
The Saint Francis U woman's volleyball team returns to action in the Bronco Classic at 4:30 p.m. when they face off against Louisiana Tech (0-1).
