BOX SCORE MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Sept. 12, 2014) -- The Saint Francis U women's volleyball squad suffered their first loss of the West Virginia Volleyball Tournament to the hands of Kent State University 3-1.
 
Saint Francis fought hard in the first set out lasting the Golden Flashes 27-25. The first set featured seven ties and two lead changes.
 
The Red Flash (3-6) could not contain the Golden Flashes (6-2) the remainder of the contest dropping the remaining three sets (25-14, 25-18, 25-15).
 
Captain, Hannah Kutny (Clifton Park, N.Y./Catholic Central) marked a team-high 12 kills, while freshman Jenna Veres (Independence, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) tallied 16 digs.
 
SFU plays the tournament host West Virgina tomorrow, at 12 p.m.
