BOX SCORE LORETTO, Pa. (Sept. 20, 2014) – The Saint Francis U women's volleyball team fell to George Mason University 3-1 (26-24, 25-20, 15-25, 26-24) Saturday afternoon at DeGol Arena despite matching the Patriots in kills and digs.
 
After falling behind 2-0 at the end of the first two sets, the Red Flash closed the third set out on a 19-9 run, taking it 25-15.
 
Junior outside hitter Hannah Kutny (Clifton Park, N.Y./Catholic Central) led the Flash with 15 kills and her 12 digs were second to freshman libero Jenna Veres (Independence, Ohio/Padua Franciscan)' 19. Red Flash senior setter Alanna Blenkarn (Pickering, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) recorded a season high 48 assists.
 
The Patriots recorded nine services aces, including four from Caitlyn Hipsher and 11 total team blocks to Saint Francis U's five.
 
The Red Flash will be back in action at 7 p.m. this evening against Loyola University (1-11) in the final game of the Red Flash Classic.
