INDIANAPOLIS – Saint Francis University held onto fifth place after Sunday's round-of-16 Storm Western Shootout.

The University of Saint Francis-Joliet won the tournament with an 8,531 pinfall total. The Red Flash notched an 8,273.

Ashley Howe-Yorio (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) led the Red Flash with a 19.03 frame average, followed by Hannah Schorr (White Oak, Pa./Serra Catholic) with a 18.19 and Haley Carroll (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) with a 18.03.

"This young group scored better each set today and moved together to play effectively as the day ended," SFU coach Tom Falbo said.

SFU competes next in the KU Baker/Team Matches in Reading on Oct. 17-18.
