Saint Francis Drops a 4-1 Decision to Richmond

RICHMOND, Va.  – Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial) scored the lone Saint Francis goal as the Red Flash dropped a 4-1 decision to the Richmond Spiders on Friday at Crenshaw Field.

The Spiders opened the scoring within the first minute of the match off of an Thalia Willamson goal. Saint Francis would get a chance in the first half off a penalty corner, but Selena Adamshick (Harveys Lake, Pa./Lake-Lehman)'s shot missed wide. The Red Flash had their opportunities late in the first half coming off of two penalty corners but could not connect. It would be 1-0 at half.

Williamson would add her second goal of the game to make it 2-0. Emma Johnsson added to Richmond's lead in the 50th minute to make it 3-0. Seven minutes later, the Spiders answered again to make it 4-0. With only five minutes left in the period, Seabrook scored to make it 4-1, and to avoid the shutout.
