Calvin Rezende (Davie, Fla. /University School at Nova Southeastern) powered the Saint Francis Red Flash men's soccer team to a 5-0 victory against the Fairleigh Dickerson Knights on Sunday afternoon at Stokes Soccerplex.

Calvin Rezende (Davie, Fla. /University School at Nova Southeastern) netted four goals, while
Conner Rezende (Davie, Fla. /University School at Nova Southeastern) contributed with a goal and an assist.

The Red Flash controlled the first half, which included 16 shots.
Conner Rezende (Davie, Fla. /University School at Nova Southeastern) opened the scoring for Saint Francis just two minutes into the match, receiving a great pass from
Jonathon Otting (Louisville, Ky/St. Xavier (Xavier (OH) University)) to bury the shot, and to put the Flash up 1-0. Just four minutes later,
Calvin Rezende (Davie, Fla. /University School at Nova Southeastern) scored off of a
Pablo Medina (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academies) blocked shot to put the Red Flash ahead, 2-0.

Calvin Rezende (Davie, Fla. /University School at Nova Southeastern) drilled a shot just inside the 18 to the far post to give Saint Francis a 3-0 advantage. The Red Flash took advantage of a yellow card by Fairleigh Dickerson inside the 18, and were awarded a penalty kick.
Calvin Rezende (Davie, Fla. /University School at Nova Southeastern) just beat the keeper on the PK to give him the hat trick, and the Red Flash a 4-0 lead.

SFU started the second half much like the first. The Flash came out firing early, but could not find the back of the net.

Conner Rezende (Davie, Fla. /University School at Nova Southeastern) and
Andres Vega (Managua, Nicaragua/Colegio Centro America) to put SFU ahead, 5-0.

The Red Flash out shot the Knights 27-6 for the match including 11 shots in the second half.
Marcus Rojas (Fremont, Calif./Bellarmine College Preparatory) got the win and was credited with two saves in 60 minutes of work.
Andrew Garcia (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek Regional) relieved Rojas and made one stop.

With the win, the Red Flash involved to 8-5-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Saint Francis travels to Central Connecticut State on Nov. 1. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
