With Sacred Heart's 28-19 win over Bryant, next week's regular season finale at Duquesne is now set up as a winner-take-all game. The winner will earn the NEC regular season title and a berth in the FCS Playoffs. The Dukes, on a bye week, are also 7-3 overall and 4-1 in conference.
The Red Flash has seven wins in a season for the fifth time in program history. SFU also tied a program-high with its fourth conference win of the year. Saint Francis also finished with a perfect 5-0 record at home to go undefeated at home for the first time since 1971. However, it's the first time in program-history with five home wins in a season.

Four plays later, Drayer found Smith in the end zone.

After forcing RMU to punt on the ensuing drive, SFU took over at its 28. The six-play, 72 yard drive, covering 3:46, ended with a two-yard QB sneak by Drayer. The drive was highlighted by a season-long 69-yard run by Dickson down to the RMU 2. Geesey's extra point gave the Red Flash a 14-0 lead with 5:36 to go in the first quarter.
The Colonials were driving with the ball on the SFU 35, when
Malik Duncan (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) picked off Mathew Barr. The ball tipped off of the hands of a diving RMU receiver and Duncan made the catch to end the drive.
The Colonials were threatening again at the start of the second quarter. However, on Second and Goal from the 9,
