REDSHIRT SENIOR (2015) – First Team All-NEC Selection. 920 yards are the second-most in a season at SFU and 13th-most in a season in conference history. Second in the league and 15th in the FCS in receiving yards per game(92). He was also 27th in the nation in yards per reception (17.4) and third in the NEC in receptions per game (5.3). Hauled in eight touchdown catches, tying for third-most in a season at SFU and finished career with 13 touchdown receptions to tie for fourth all-time. Caught a school-record 98-yard touchdown pass against Sacred Heart. After entering the season with one previous 100-yard game, posted five games over the century mark. Season-best nine catches in the opener vs. Georgetown for 140 yards and a 39-yard score. Had five receptions of 10 or more yards on the day, including a 28-yard catch in the second quarter. Hauled in eight receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Zack Drayer on 18 and five-yard scores. Had one catch for 10 yards at Youngstown State. Contributed six catches for 148 yards and a 37-yards score in the win at East Tennessee State. Also had catches off 33 and 53 yards at ETSU, with the 53-yarder thrown by Lorenzo Jerome on a trick play. Fourth 100-yard game came against Wagner when Smith posted six receptions for 130 yards. Had seven catches for 60 yards at Bryant. Caught a 64-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter vs. Sacred Heart, which at the time was the longest pass play of the season, until his fourth quarter 98-yard touchdown reception. His performance vs. SHU, including his 81 yards per catch average, earned him NEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week. Made five catches for 61 yards in the win at Central Connecticut State. Hauled in four receptions for 44 yards, including a six-yard touchdown catch and a 29-yard reception. Caught five passes for 63 yards and a score at Duquesne, including a 14-yard touchdown reception. Also had a 33-yard catch against the Dukes.
